Or the story of how social media can let you transform a hobby into an actual job.
Cats, boobs & Instagram
Juliette Mallet, an illustrator by training, one day decided, when she was returning from a trip to Japan, to start her own jewelry line. She attends a specialized training at the Ecole Boule in Paris and dives right in: like hundreds of French designers, she starts selling her creations on her Etsy shop while keeping her “real job”. Everything changes the day she posts about the boobie ring on her Instagram, which she had created as a birthday present for her friend. The fun, slightly tacky object, symbolic of women empowerment, breaks the Internet and becomes an instant hit. Orders start pouring in, the brand grows (Coucou Suzette, her cat’s name), and finds its style: Pop x Funky x Feminine x Cheeky.
